All of the connectors are standard 2 pin  JST XH2.45 and 3 pin 2.54 JST connectors (RGB D13). Making cable splicing easy. 

All standard data Usb C cables are compatible for class compliant connection and operation. 

Arcade buttons can have 1 of 3 different size spade connectors. 

A 2.8mm connector is most common for 28m and 30mm buttons. 

A 2.8mm connector daisy chain harness is compatible for LED port. This does not have a data pin so this port is just for easy simple lighting. 

A 4.8mm connector is usually best for stompbox or soft touch footswitches. If you want a solder free design. 

A 6.3mm connector is generally used for larger buttons and footswitches with larger connectors. 

The Retroloop Chip has an ATmega32u4 which can be coded with the standard Arduino IDE.  All devices ship ready to work our of the box with the Default 19 Button Note Code pre-loaded which can be requested by email.

Most two pole switches, buttons, momentary, or latching can be used with the Retroloop Chip. 

Also encoders and potentiometers can all be used with proper coding. It is highly reccomended that the A0-A5 pins be coded for analog connectivity.

LED and RGB   buttons are compatible with proper cables and code. RGB buttons require FASTLED or NEOPIXEL code to turn on and debug for alignment concerning feedback functions. 

All 12v, 5v, 3v LED buttons are supported by the retroloop chip.

Reccomended tools for DIY pedal creation vary but there are some that you must have. 

1. A powerful high speed drill
2. Step drill bit set (Large, Med, and Small) 
3. Wire and connector crimpers 
4. Solder seal wire connectors are the best for splicing if you are not good at soldering
5. A wireless solder tool 
6. Solder paste is great for beginner soldering 
7. Gloves, safety glasses 
8. A small phone/pc repair screwdriver kit is great for small connectors
9. Heat shrink tubing and heat shrink butt connectors are good for easy cable splicing as well
10. Torch lighter
11. Wire cutters/strippers (get a good one)
